My pastor was talking about a time when he was moving out of his house and needed to get rid of all of the food. So he went in the fridge and got some eggs he decided to scramble.
Then he saw there was some canned salmon he needed to get rid of so he dumped that in there (skin attached and bones included). Next he found some artichoke hearts and threw them into the mix. And finished by squirting some black olive paste in there that someone had given him as a gift?
Sound pretty appetizing?
The problem was he did not have a recipe! He was just throwing stuff in that he hoped would taste good. Now, that may be a delicious meal for some but for most people? That's a hard no.
You need a recipe to reach your goals!
How many times have you gone to the gym with not plan and just wind up walking on the treadmill and watching TV for 20-30 minutes then calling it a day? Or not plan out your meals and end up at the fast food drive thru on the way home from work?
It happens to all of us!
In his book The Gift of Self-Confidence Brian Tracy says, “A clear vision, backed by definite plans, gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence and personal power.”
Take some time on your off days to plan, prep, and cook meals for the week. Write out what you are going to do in your workouts and when you are going to do them. Get that definite plan in place.
Don't leave things up to chance! Get a recipe, put all the correct ingredients in, and you are well on your way to success.
