Have you ever known someone, maybe a friend or family member, who had unhealthy signs and symptoms? That you could pretty much guess where it was going to wind up if you didn't do anything?

What did you do?

Personally, I did nothing. I knew a friend of mine was going through a tough time and had some health problems.

I thought, "What can I do?" He's a grown man, he doesn't want my help. I figured he was too proud, too strong, too bull-headed for me to do any good.

Things would work out. They always do, right?

My friend died on Thursday.

At the age of 38 from a heart attack.

Now I'm not blaming myself because ultimately it comes down to personal responsibility.

-Nobody can make you exercise
-Nobody can make you eat right
-Nobody can make you go to the doctor when you know something is not right

If you can't do it for you, do it for your family. My friend's family is absolutely crushed right now. No parent should outlive their child.

Make the commitment today that you will never put your loved ones in that situation.

You know what you need to do better than anyone else. Including your doctor.

What's it going to take for you to change? Start changing TODAY because tomorrow is not promised.

If you do have that family member or friend that is going through a tough time, help out! Just lend your support and let them know you will do anything you can to help.

Or if I can help in any way, I will do anything I can.

I can't do anything about the past, but this will be my motivation for the future.
