My son had a birthday party over the weekend and it required the transportation of more kids than we were equipped to handle. We asked a friend if we could borrow their vehicle that had a third row.

He not only agreed to let us borrow it, but when I showed up he thanked me. I thought that was really weird.

He said, "Thank you, this gave me an excuse to finally clean it up. I've been meaning to do this for along time and this gave me the push to get it done."

Then later on that week, my wife and I are looking at getting a Subaru Outback. As a prerequisite, it has to fit in our garage. Didn't look at that feature when I bought my truck...

It will fit but we needed to do some "spring" cleaning. So we spent about 90 minutes on Sunday cleaning out stuff that should have been dealt with years ago. Things that should have been thrown out 2 moves ago! Why do we do that to ourselves?

So I would encourage you to find a way to put yourself out there and create ways to nudge yourself closer to your goals. We all need an extra push, especially this time of year.

-You can post something like "I will exercise at least 3 days a week for the rest of the year." on social media.

-Sign up for a class or some sessions with a trainer

-agree to meet a workout partner a few days a week

-sign up for a race that you have to train for

Take some time and think of what would motivate you. We are stronger together. Put yourself out there and let your tribe help get you to your goal!

PS- If you are interested in getting results from home, you would be a great candidate for my new online coaching program. We work together to design the perfect program for the time, equipment, and goals you have.
