Time management is critical for fitting in your exercise program. When you get too much on your plate, what is the first thing that is sacrificed?

If you're like most people, it is your exercise and or nutrition program. Meaning you are skipping out on your health, which will have an ill effect on what you prioritized over your health (work, family, etc...)

If you can't take care of you, you can't take care of anyone else. Se let's learn how to prioritize courtesy of Brian Tracy.

If you know me, you know my love of Brian Tracy and his Eat That Frog book. You can read more about that here.

He also uses something called the ABCDE method of prioritizing.

A-is for things you HAVE to do. Serious penalties occur if this isn't taken care of. Paying the mortgage comes to mind...

B-These are the important things you SHOULD do. It's not good if you don't complete them, but not a huge deal. Not showering might fit in here.

C-These are "nice to do". Kind of the icing on the cake deal.

D-This is where you DELEGATE. What are you doing that someone else could/should be doing for you? Why are you taking out the trash, when there is a 13 year old boy sitting on your couch eating your food?

E- ELIMINATE whenever possible. This is one can make the most difference in your life. There are probably 20 small things that take up 2-4 minutes of your time throughout the day that you can eliminate. Hmm, that means all of the sudden you have a free hour.

Make a list every day of what you plan to do that day. Where does it fit? Run your day accordingly. You've got the time to exercise, you just have to find it.

Or when in doubt use the Joe Martin Time Management Tool. If it don't make a dollar or a difference, don't do it.
