When I was at Auburn, my roommates and I used to watch WCW wrestling a lot. Because the real education you get at college, occurs outside of the classroom.
My favorite wrestler was this guy named Diamond Dallas Page, or DDP for short. You may know him now as the guy behind the DDPY exercise videos. He does have a really awesome success story video that went viral. You can check that below for some inspiration:

So I have to admit I bought one of his workout videos recently. I owed him for all the hours of wrestling entertainment he gave me ok!
Fast forward to last week and I am in Rooster's Crow Coffee shop getting ready to do some work. I turn my computer on and start jotting down a few notes of things I had to do that day. I'm addicted to crossing things off lists. Then the computer boots up and it happens.
In this quiet coffee shop DDP is now screaming at the top of his lungs for me to "GET SOME LENGTH! SQUEEZE THE BALL! GET STRONGGGG!"
And I can't turn it off, can't pause it, can't turn down the volume. I just have to sit there and take it along with everybody else. You know that look people do when they are looking at you out of the side of their eyes so you won't know that they are looking but you both know they are looking at you? Yeah, lots of that.
At first I was really embarrassed, but  then I thought of this quote by Candance Pert "If you are being run out of town you should get in front of the crowd and make it look like a parade."  I decided to own it and embrace it. I actually really like the videos! There I said it.
Don't let anyone shame you or talk down to you because of the way you choose to move your body. I see posts from really fit people talking down to people who do certain exercises and exercise classes. What the what? It makes no sense!
If you have found a way to move your body, stay active, and you really enjoy it guess what? you have won! That is my hope for everyone I come across. If it's not my boot camp, cool with me, let's find what speaks to you. It's out there, I'm telling you! If you haven't found it yet, don't give up.
And it is even better if you find a variety of things you like to do. I enjoy lifting weights, walking hiking, kayaking, jiujitsu, sports, backyard games like horseshoes and Can Jam, and that is just a few examples. It's all better than sitting on the couch.
Get active, your way, and don't ever stop.
