I don't wanna go to work!

So I got to thinking last night about how spoiled I really am and how spoiled we are as a nation. I think that is why we have such a big problem with obesity and so many people are out of shape. We aren't tough enough! We give up too easy. Something is too hard? Just give up. You mean I have to sacrifice one thing to get another? Forget that. This all came about when I was eating some vegetables yesterday. I have a little understanding with the veggies. We have a little heart to heart. "Listen veggies, I don't like you. You must not like me, so let's just get through this and move on ok?" I was thinking man this sucks, there is all this candy around and I'm stuck eating broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc... I'm spoiled! We can't drive 5 minutes without passing somewhere that has food in it, while there are places in the world that would kill for one of those nasty looking boiled eggs at the gas station. Everything is too easy. I start feeling sorry for myself because I get tired and still have several hours left in the day until I realize there are people who work twice as much as I do and get paid half as much. I will be thinking how much my workout sucks sometimes and then I think of the people I know that who are too sick or injured to walk down the street. Everything in life is about perspective and how you CHOOSE to look at it. So when your alarm goes off in the morning, you're having a bad day, something goes wrong, whatever comes up just ask yourself "Is this really as big a deal as I'm making it out to be?" Seriously. Seems like I read somewhere that This too shall pass. I know it's a little bit of a rant, but think about it. How hard do we really have it? Being positive will give you so much more energy and happiness in your life.  It is time to man/woman up as a nation!

Upper Body Blast was indoors not because of the rain, but because the pure awesomeness of it could not be allowed in public without correct permits that I do not have. We divided up into the ever confusing Groups 1,2, and 3 and then rotated between exercises with weights, bands, and a cardio exercise. For instance Spiderman pushups, face pulls, and burpees. The names alone are cool enough all on their own, but actually doing them that's just magic. Being inside is not ideal, but our cozy little spot sure beats being soaked and dodging lightning.

Lower Body Luau is tomorrow! What is that? It is a 5-7 minute warm-up, 45 minute limbo contest, and then 8-10 minutes of core and stretching. Plus I roll around on the ground with an apple in my mouth. Good times and since it is the last workout of the week this week we are puttin in work! No class Friday, no class Friday, no class Friday.

PS-I have a pretty big announcement coming out later on today, so look for that. I know you'll be huddled around your computers and phones waiting with baited breath or whatever that saying is.
